Suicide Squad: 8 Ways Enchantress Is Way Worse Than Leto's Joker

3. She's Disposable

The biggest problem for Suicide Squad for Batman fans is that it looks horribly like the title is going to be taken literally. Now, it IS a good idea to have raised stakes, and for characters to die, but by bringing a lot of Batman's villains into play as B and C Level characters, Warner Bros are effectively cutting off their opportunity to ascend to the big time and muscle in on the cycle of familiar Rogues that tend to take top billing. Killer Croc for instance, would have been a great lead villain; so too would El Diablo (just maybe not for Batman), and now it seems likely both will be killed off. The same mentality should be a concern for Enchantress. She's a one shot character living at the start of an expanded universe, and there is literally no way she's going to survive (still possessed) beyond the end of the film. Surely the film isn't just going to be an extended recruitment drive to convince her to join up? The inevitable counter-point will see her beaten, robbing the DCEU of a potentially big alternative villain who could have offered more left-field opportunities.
