Suicide Squad: 9 Cool Deleted Scenes Missing From The Extended Cut

Katana is another team member who got the short end of the stick regarding character development; we know she’s a badass samurai and that her husband’s soul lives in her sword, but she gets no real growth beyond that. She occasionally slashes some things.

Trailers show she had more to do, including shots of her sword absorbing souls, her eyes turning black and a sequence where she slashes at a tentacle that's latched onto her. Also missing is a moment where she and Killer Croc have a ruckus, which happened during the climax.

Apparently once The Joker scene was removed sections of the finale were reshot, with Katana and Croc’s fight being a casualty in the edit suite. A shame really, since the characters are probably the least served in terms of screentime.
