Suicide Squad: 9 Deleted Scenes That Would Have Definitely Improved The Film

6. Serial Rapist Slipknot (And His Character Intro)

The Deleted Scene: Remember Slipknot? Don't blame you, really, he comes and goes so quickly it makes Batman look like a key player. The deleted scene descriptions mention a scene where he's described, in passing, as a serial rapist (so, a proper, genuine bad guy), which, in addition to his presumably cut character intro, would have provided some background to the Squad's Z-list member.

Why It Would Have Improved The Film: If you're going to have a shock early character death, you need to make it not totally obvious. Granted the trailers hadn't exactly done a great job with this, but the complete lack of focus on Slipknot before the mission meant he was doomed from the start. If anything, it's a miracle he survived as long as he did. Having any more screen-time for Adam Beach would have worked wonders, and making him an actually reprehensible member of the group would give an element of catharsis to his head getting blown off.

So, Why Was It Cut? It's a mixture of the previous two points, really. Slipknot's just not that important to spend excess time on it, but being a serial rapist is if anything (read: 100% definitely) worse than being a bit sexist.
