Suicide Squad: 9 Deleted Scenes That Would Have Definitely Improved The Film

7. Batman In Killer Croc's Origin

The Deleted Scene: Like Deadshot and Harley Quinn, Killer Croc was also set to have a run in with Batman. A reported deleted sequence would see him serving as muscle for various Gotham crime syndicates before getting captured by the Caped Crusader. This is only one element of a vastly reduced part, with a greater look at both his animalistic nature and psychological impact of his appearance.

Why It Would Have Improved The Film: There's a lot of potential with Croc, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje gave an incredibly involved performance, but he's really not explored out of one "I'm beautiful" line, so any more screen-time would have been welcome. Beyond that, it's pretty important to see in all the origin stories how each of the villains were captured, uniting them before they even realise it. Biggest of all, however, is its impact on the wider world; this would show Gotham as a crime-ridden cess-pit, giving an even greater sense of the city as this terrible place in need of saving.

So, Why Was It Cut? In the scope of the film, Killer Croc isn't all that important, so excess time in his intro would be one of the first things to go (and within that, a Batman sequence would be on the long side). This will only have been ramped up when later character beats were played down, basically reducing him to a heavy.
