Suicide Squad: Ranking The Characters By Anticipation

10. Batman

Played By: Ben Affleck. Who's Ben Affleck? The man whose taking over of the Batman mantle took the media by storm. He's worked several times with directors like Kevin Smith and Michael Bay, has come into his own as a director over the last decade thanks to projects like The Town and Argo, and, of course, will be making his first appearance as the Caped Crusader in the upcoming Batman v Superman. Now, no one's expecting Batman to have a huge role in Suicide Squad. But between BvS and this, it's clear that Warner Bros. and DC aren't going to let their money-making character take too many breaks within their budding DC Extended Universe. Fortunately, Affleck seems game for what the future holds, and even if we haven't seen him make his big screen debut yet, his role in Suicide Squad is still worth getting excited about. Aside from seeing the newest live-action versions of Batman and the Joker on-screen together for the first time, audiences will likely be getting a much clearer picture of their personal history in the wake of all the stuff that BvS seems to be teasing at. This is squarely a villains' film, as it should be, but his mere presence - however small - will go a long way in helping contextualize how they see him, how he sees them, and how the world sees them all going forward.
