9. Captain Boomerang

Played By: Jai Courtney. Who's Jai Courtney? Since starring on Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Courtney has gone on to appear as John McClane's son in A Good Day to Die Hard, as John Conner in Terminator Genisys, and as Eric in last year's Divergent, as well as its sequel Insurgent earlier this year. Over the years, Courtney has gotten a lot of flack on the internet for being wooden and bland, and for simply being a part of two despised projects that well and truly derailed two geek-loved franchises: Die Hard and Terminator. To put it mildly, he's become somewhat of a punching bag for everything average in performances that could've been done better, either by someone else or, perhaps, had stronger directors worked with him to rise above. Regardless of one's personal feelings about Courtney up until this point, there's no point in actively rooting against the guy in bringing Digger "Captain Boomerang" Harkness to life. While he could strike out miserably in doing so - as any of the cast members can - it's hard not to hope that Courtney can step up to the plate, dive headfirst into the character, and deliver the caustic, selfish, but effective jerk that the character's fans love.
