Jonathan Majors is blowing up massively right now, but far away from his blockbuster turns in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Creed III, there's the considerably smaller, more intimate bodybuilding drama, Magazine Dreams.

Majors stars as Killian Maddox, a bodybuilder with aspirations of superstardom, but Maddox's own personal demons - past trauma, a volcanic temper, his struggles to communicate with others - threaten to derail both his career and his life.

Elijah Bynum's (Hot Summer Nights) second feature may ultimately try to tackle a few too many ideas for its own good, but Majors' outstanding performance keeps the center held firmly in place.

Don't be shocked if Majors becomes an awards contender by year's end, because this film is all the proof you need that he's a serious talent.

Magazine Dreams is currently seeking distribution.
