4. Batman vs. Superman? Or Superman vs. Batman?
They can't win here, I mean what do you call a movie that's a sequel to a Superman movie, yet seeks to include a character just as important for (hopefully) equal screen time? Go with the headline's former and the Superman fans react with questioning the movie's placement in the Man of Steel trilogy. Go with the latter and you've condemned Batman to a secondary role, already connoting the idea that he's the 'villain' of the piece. Whilst I'm sure throughout the film there's going to be some larger antagonistic force that compels the two to eventually team up (mostly for the upcoming Justice League movie that's going to follow), it's all in the marketing and presentation in the first place that instills the right mindset before smashing all the important elements together. Of course the film's going to sell incredibly well regardless, but it remains to be seen how it's going to be viewed in a world dominated by The Dark Knight as the go-to high-point for Batman's film career. Would using another moniker from the comics do it justice? Possibly combining everything from film-to-comic by naming it after one of their clashes in print? How about Man of Steel: The Dark Knight Returns? What do you guys think would be a suitable title for the biggest showdown in comic book movie history?
