Is this scene gross, dumb, or both? While institutionalised in Terminator 2 as a result of her claim that machines will take over the world in the future, Sarah Connor was at the mercy of her doctor, and more directly, her guards - at least one of whom, Douglas, was completely, thoroughly disgusting. Taking a moment to full-on lick the cheek of Sarah when he thought she was passed out, it's no doubt meant to convey that Douglas is a horrible human being (as if looking like Bubbles from The Trailer Park Boys wasn't enough), but just feels weird. A scene cut from the movie showed him and another guard physically assaulting her, without it the licking comes out of nowhere, is never followed up on, and in the context of the rest of the scenes in the psych ward, is just, well, dumb.
