Terminator: 10 Dumbest Moments In The Series

4. A Heart Transplant In The Desert

To be fair to McG and all those involved, Terminator: Salvation was not supposed to end the way it did. Prior to the film being released, the ending was leaked online, and the big plot twist spoiled. The twist? John Connor dies and Marcus, the part human, part Terminator hybrid, takes his place; the man leading the resistance was a product of Skynet all along. That's a pretty cool twist actually. It works, explaining why John Connor is so good at beating Skynet - because he's not John Connor, he's Skynet itself. The only problem is, when the ending leaked, the producers panicked. McG changed the ending. In the ending released, John Connor doesn't die - Marcus gives up his life to save him. And his heart is transplanted into Connor in the middle of the desert in what is basically a tent, and a sketchy one at that. Who needs a sterilised operating room and equipment when you can just swap out a heart amidst blowing sand? Yeah, that's pretty dumb.
