2. Make It Rated-R
The first two Terminator films were utterly unapologetic about how they depicted violence; The Terminator had Arnie rip a guy's heart out in front of him, and T2 had the T-1000 stab John Connor's foster father through the face, yet the latter two films never really measured up in terms of this. Granted, Terminator 3 has that one awesome scene in which the T-X punches her hand through a cop's chest and steers a car through his wound, but other than that, it was pretty tame stuff for an R-rated movie. Terminator Salvation, however, angered Terminator fans the world over by going the PG-13 route, meaning that the action was
mostly bloodless, focusing upon militarised, big-scale mayhem rather than the more intimate bodily manipulation of the first two movies. Though it's unlikely to happen, this new trilogy needs to return to the gory, sweary approach of the first two films in particular.
