Terminator: Dark Fate – 7 Big Things We Learned From The Trailer

5. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator May Have Less Of A Role To Play

One of the trailer's more surprising aspects was undoubtedly how little it featured Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The acting veteran is renowned for his performance as the Terminator franchise's titular cyborg, appearing in four of the five previous films, and yet he was almost completely absent here, save for a brief appearance near the end. Naturally, this has left fans wondering if he'll be playing much less of a role in Dark Fate.

As unlikely as it sounds, that might actually be a possibility. After all, he was nowhere to be seen on the very first image of the film that was released earlier this year (which featured other headliners Linda Hamilton, Mackenzie Davis, and Natalia Reyes) nor did he appear on the poster that debuted on the day before the trailer.

Despite the new storyline, a possible lack of Arnie would probably be an unwise choice given how important he is to the franchise. It's okay to have him play a reduced role but he should, at the very least, have something of significance to do. He is the Terminator, after all.
