Terminator: Genesis - 10 Things You Need To Know

1. Nobody Is Really Sure How Any Of It Makes Sense

The most important thing that you need to know, then, is that Terminator: Genesis makes no sense at all. From what we've been told and from what information we have so far, at least, the whole thing is a puzzling mess. Think about it: it's a reboot of the franchise, and yet Arnold Schwarzenegger is involved, set to play an old T-800. Why? How does that make any sense? And if it's a reboot, then why do we get Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese, and yet Dayo Okeniyi is playing Danny Dyson, and not Miles Dyson? Why are older elements being blended with newer ones? So at the moment, the whole project feels like something of an oddity: aspects from the classic Terminator movies are being incorporated into the reboot (presumably as a way to please fans), but it's only serving to make things more confusing and is preventing the project from having an identity of its own. Sure, it's great that Arnie is going to be involved again as he's a staple of the series, but how does it make sense to have him back again if it's a reboot? Wouldn't it be cleaner and more efficient to wipe the slate clean and start again without any of the added baggage? Like this article? Let us know in the comments section below.
