29. John Connor: The Prophet

In the future-set opening, Kyle Reese comments that several people regard John Connor as a prophet. This is obviously aggrandising him ahead of the mid-point twist, but also serves as one of the film's few references to Terminator Salvation. In McG's sequel, the fourth in the franchise, John clashes with the resistance leaders exactly because of his time-travel-infused destiny. He's dubbed, among other things, a false prophet. Genisys doesn't go into this aspect too much (at least overtly), but it's nice to see it referenced.
