Speaking of which, the one plot point on which the Entertainment Weekly exclusive is rather coy on is the existence of new Terminators in Genisys. And you can't have a Terminator film without, well, Terminators. Arnie is confirmed to return as a T-800 (although how big a part that'll actually be remains to be seen), but there has to be some reason he's been training up the young Sarah Connor, why Kyle Reese gets sent back in time to help out, and for the film to exist at all. That same futuristic cover features a skeletal robot stood behind Matt Smith and Jason Clarke - with an eerie grin on its face, something that the titular killer cyborgs haven't shown before - with that slightly human-looking set of gnashers perhaps implying a new generation of Terminators. Perhaps one that harvests human characteristics from the source...regardless of what form they take, there will obviously be new Terminators in Genisys, because otherwise what would be the point (and where would all the merchandising come from?).
