2. No Mary Jane
You may be thinking, wait what? Why should that make me excited? Well the omission of Mary Jane from the next film shows that theyre not just cramming in characters for the sake of it and that they want to be patient when introducing new elements of the comic book universe. While they have just cast a fresh girl (Sarah Gadon) into the series, I think its possible that shes there to replace what Mary Jane may have been, which was a love interest to Harry Osborn in the next film. I think the omission of Mary Jane is great as it just allows more screen time for other characters so we can explore them and their backstories in more depth. The depth of all the new characters could be the difference between a good Spider-Man film and a great one.
