The Amazing Spider-Man 3 Wishlist: 10 Things That Must Happen
2. The Franchise Concludes
in terms of Spider-Man solo movies it's almost impossible to top having the Sinister Six as the antagonists and, with the titular character potentially going on to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after this movie, this franchise would probably die if it attempted to co-exist with an MCU that included a different version of Spider-Man fighting alongside the likes of Iron Man, Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy. With that in mind, expect The Amazing Spider-Man 3 to be the last movie in this franchise and expect it to be wrapped up in a suitable way. What exactly "suitable" might mean at this stage is anyone's guess. Peter Parker might live happily ever after with Mary Jane, continuing as Spider-Man after defeating the Sinister Six, Spider-Man might be killed in action or the titular hero might pass the baton onto a new, younger version of the character (Miles Morales, anyone?). That said, there's talk of a Spider-Man reboot after this movie, with Sam Raimi directing again, but that would be crazy. End the franchise here and include the Webbed Wonder as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, like he should have been all along.
