The Avengers: 10 Problems Age Of Ultron Can Fix

7. Less Humour For The Sake Of It

Part of the charm of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies is the humour they contain. It has become so strongly associated with them that DC and Warner Bros. have pledged to avoid jokes completely in their movies in an attempt to differentiate themselves from Marvel. While the humour element is undoubtedly part of what makes Marvel Studios' movies great, it has definitely started to become something they are over-reliant on and the first Avengers was a prime example of that. As already mentioned, the opening was dragged out terribly and it was as if the people behind the movie knew that, because funny moments were thrown in randomly to ease the audience's pain of having to sit through it. Given the fact that the titular team are set to be in seriously grave danger in Age Of Ultron, that humour needs to be reeled in somewhat. Everyone expects and wants to laugh during any Marvel movie, but it must be minimised if they want to continue to be taken seriously and in order for them to prove that's not all they're about.
