The Avengers 2: 5 New Heroes To Expect & 5 That Need A Miracle

2. Wolverine

The Wolverine Logan is a mutant with the ability to rapidly regenerate from practically any injury. Through experimentation, the unbreakable metal alloy Adamantium was bonded to his skeleton. He struggles with his animalistic nature, and when provoked, can go into a berserker rage. He also has some very handy, and very cool, retractable claws. Due to his healing factor, Wolverine ages very slowly. He fought with Captain America during World War II. He fought against the Hulk in his comic debut. He then joined the team he is best known in, the X-Men. He has also been part of the Avengers, New Avengers and the Avengers Unity Squad with other X-Men. Why does he need a miracle? Like the Thing, the film rights to Wolverine are owned by Fox. Fox and Marvel would need to make a deal for Wolverine to appear in the MCU. This kind of deal could prove to be very lucrative for both Fox and Marvel. Wolverine is one of the most popular superheroes in all of comicdom, and one of the most well-known superheroes in film. He is set to appear in The Wolverine later this year (pictured above) and in X-Men: Days of Future Past in July 2014. It seems unlikely that Fox would make a deal with Marvel for their most valuable superhero property.
