3. The Warrior/Brotherly Relationship between Thor and Cap
A bond was established between Iron Man and the Hulk. There was a previous bond between Black Widow and Hawkeye. As for Cap and Thor, we saw shades of it during the final battle. Both men fought while having each others backs. Thor even saved Cap when he was shot in the stomach. They both joked about going a couple of more rounds. In the comics, Cap and Thor are brothers in arms. Thor respects Cap almost more than anyone because of his warrior spirit. Their bond grew more when Thor found out something about Captain America that I will explain soon. When Cap was assassinated at the end of Civil War, Thor encounters Cap's spirit which is not able rest due to the mass media politicizing his death. Thor honors him by flying into space and disrupting every satellite signal for sixty seconds thus granting him a moment of peace. If you read the Ultimate universe, Thor sacrifices his life so Cap's soul can return to the living. If that isn't enough to tell you how close both men are then I dont know what is. Here is my suggestion for the sequel. The warrior/brotherly relationship needs to be established early. I suggest that we get a conversation between the two about the battle with the Chitauri or an early battle in the sequel. Thor talks about Cap fighting spirit and how much he respects it. He says that he will always go to battle with him leading the way. Cap thanks him for the compliments. They lead into a conversation about their weapons. Thor is curious about the material of the shield because he couldn't put damage it when he hit it.. After answering Thor's question, Cap asks about his hammer. Thor says that no living being can lift Mjolnir unless they are worthy (major foreshadowing) which leads me to my next point
