The Avengers Vs. Avengers: Infinity War - Which Is Better?

The MCU's movies are great to revisit when you're struggling to find something new to watch, because they're generally fun, easy, undemanding fare while working within a familiar framework.

The Avengers and Infinity War both no doubt enjoyed a ton of repeat business at the box office and are sure to be loved by legions of fans at home for decades. Whedon's movie has that unmistakable novelty factor, even if it seems positively quaint by the current standards of the MCU.

Infinity War, while certainly a more "epic" movie than The Avengers, is also a less purely "fun" outing due to its bleaker tone and, well, the fact that most of the Avengers "die" at the end.

Winner: If you want something shamelessly, chest-thumpingly upbeat to fill your listless Thursday night, Whedon's movie is definitely the better pick, simply because it's less-heavy and a little warmer to the touch.

Plus, that standalone appeal also works in its favour. Most fans will probably revisit Infinity War time and time again, but you'll probably want to be in the right head-space for it first. The same isn't really true for The Avengers.
