And finally, we come to the scores at the doors, to decide which Avengers movie is truly superior. After duking it out in fourteen categories, Joss Whedon's The Avengers scored six wins, while the Russos' Infinity War nailed an impressive eight victories.

And with that, our deep dive of these two heavyweight superhero classics is complete. Infinity War stands tall as the confident victor, even if the one that started it all isn't especially far behind, and they're both top-shelf MCU movies regardless.

It'll be interesting to see how Avengers 4 stacks up against them both, but of course, there's a whole agonising year to wait before that answer is revealed.
