The Avengers Vs. Avengers: Infinity War - Which Is Better?
13. The Heroes
The Avengers may seem at an immediate disadvantage if only because it's dealing with a much smaller stable of superheroes, but that also gives the movie a laser-trained focus, with Whedon actually able to put all six mainline Avengers in the same room. From the early squabbles through to their third-act team-up, it's all splendidly done.
Infinity War meanwhile smartly compartmentalises the heroes into a number of disparate groups, because attempting to have them all share the screen for most of the movie would've been a director's worst nightmare.
These pairings are generally terrific - especially Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and the Guardians - and the sheer wealth of heroes on screen at any moment gives it an easy leg-up from the get-go.
Winner: It's a tough one, because The Avengers has a more natural dynamic, yet Infinity War has an insane fleet of characters and some truly inspired teamings. We'll go with Infinity War, but it's pretty damn close. Drax (Dave Bautista) clinches it, honestly.
