The Batman: 10 DC Comics Villains Perfect For Matt Reeves' Sequel

2. Julian Gregory Day (Calendar Man)

The Batman Court of Owls
DC Comics

Detective work is difficult to do. Predicting the future is nearly impossible. That's what Calendar Man would require of the Defender of Gotham.

Julian Gregory Day commits crimes based around significant dates and holidays. This is perfect material for a detective story and it exactly matches the tone for this version of the Dark Knight.

Day would need to commit a number of important crimes before the Detective becomes aware of him. However, recognition alone would not bring Julian any closer to being stopped. Bruce would need to recognize a pattern in Calendar Man's methods. Only then could the World's Greatest Detective begin to work against Day.

Bats must predict Julian's next moves based on significant dates throughout the calendar year. It would be like solving a puzzle with most of the pieces missing. This would no doubt be a significant challenge for Bruce Wayne and would provide for lots of engrossing detective work. More than ever before time would be of the essence for the Caped Crusader.
