The Batman: 10 Huge Rumours That Would Change Everything

When Colin Farrell was cast as Penguin for The Batman, it raised a few eyebrows. Despite Robin Lord Taylor's excellent portrayal as Oswald Cobblepot in Gotham, it's hard not to picture Danny DeVito's more influential iteration of the character from Batman Returns. Naturally, Farrell doesn't exactly bring up the same kind of image.

However, there has been a tall, handsome version of the character before, as part of the Batman Telltale gaming series. It made sense that Farrell would be bringing to life a similar Cobblepot to this, however there have been rumours that the Irishman will in fact be wearing prosthetics as part of the role.

The first thing that comes to mind is Penguin's beak like nose, but it's tough to imagine how something as unrealistic as this could play into what is sure to be a darker, more grounded story than Batman Returns.

Instead, since we have seen some set photos of Farrell showing no prosthetics whatsoever, could it be that Oswald Cobblepot will fall victim to some sort of accident during the movie?
