The Batman: 15 Details You Missed The First Time
8. It Shares A Shooting Location With The Dark Knight
Though the bulk of The Batman was filmed in the UK, portions of it were also shot in Chicago, namely exterior establishing shots and street photography to make Gotham truly resemble a typical American city.
Interestingly The Batman ended up re-using a location from a previous Batman movie - Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight.
When Batman dives off the GCPD building in his wingsuit and smashes into a bus, keep your eye on the background and take note of the distinctive-looking building doubling for GCPD HQ.
This is actually the Chicago Board of Trade on LaSalle Street in downtown Chicago, and was also featured prominently in The Dark Knight's iconic scene where The Joker (Heath Ledger) begs Batman (Christian Bale) to run him over with his Batpod.
If you're not terribly familiar with Chicago it's easily missed, but a fun commonality between the two takes on the Caped Crusader all the same.
