The Batman: Every Character Ranked From Worst To Best

2. Selina Kyle / Catwoman

The Batman Catwoman Zoe Kravitz

Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman may still cast a massive shadow all these years later, but credit to Zoƫ Kravitz for delivering her own potent interpretation of the character.

At once sexy and supremely tortured, this take on Selina Kyle has some weapons-grade daddy issues given that her father is none other than Carmine Falcone.

Counter to prior cinematic riffs on the character, this Catwoman isn't ever really much of a villain at all, more a morally ambiguous anti-hero who wants to stick it to Gotham's elite and only fleetingly comes into conflict with Batman.

She's certainly not privy to Batman's no-kill rule and isn't afraid to get her hands dirty in the pursuit of wider prosperity for Gotham or herself, but by story's end she clearly grows into a more moral equal to Batman.

Aided by Kravitz's slinky-yet-believable performance and a costume that's more utilitarian than stylish, she's surely the most truly "realistic" movie Catwoman yet.
