The Batman Movie Review: 8 Ups & 2 Downs

3. Zoë Kravitz Almost Steals The Show As Catwoman

Just as Robert Pattinson had some mighty shoes to fill, so too did Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman.

And while she's not going to replace Michelle Pfeiffer's portrayal in the minds of many, she acquits herself extremely well regardless with a performance that's sensibly on an entirely different wavelength.

Kravitz steals just about every scene she's in as the angry, embittered young woman with some seriously personal motivations for prowling Gotham's streets at night.

Beyond the obvious sex appeal requirements of playing Catwoman, Kravitz brings a real weight and gravitas to the part, ensuring her version of the anti-hero effortlessly holds her own against Pattinson's Batman, aided by solid chemistry between the pair.
