The Batman Sequel: 10 Possible Villains (And Who Should Play Them)
3. Hush – Robert Pattinson
Now, this could be fun.
A childhood friend of Bruce’s growing up in DC lore, Thomas Elliot was born into immense fortune and wealth. Undoubtedly a blessing, as opposed to a curse, Elliot’s similarities to Wayne end there, however, as the former was the victim of an abusive father and negligent mother. As a result, Tommy became bitter and jealous of Bruce and the love he received from his parents Thomas and Martha. After killing his own parents, Tommy Elliot vowed to eradicate Bruce, Batman, and those he loved through the brutal and remorseless alias of Hush.
He is a truly peculiar character, and his inclusion on this list is not only a result of his unique origins and characteristics, but also due to his rather less-than-subtle teasing within Matt Reeves’ first entry of his inevitable trilogy. A master plastic surgeon, Elliot is chameleonic, and an actor as aesthetically adaptable and vocally versatile as Robert Pattinson would be perfect in portraying both the sequel's hero and villain.
The masked madman’s unhealthy and equally dangerous obsession with Bruce leads him to mutilate and perfect his appearance to mirror his nemesis, and with Pattinson’s ability to master multiple accents, the prospect of the Englishman facing himself would make for an incredible showdown for the ages. Pattinson has a knack for playing the wacky, weird, and wonderful, and history dictates he does so rather well. What’s to stop him from doing it again?
