The Batman Sequel: 10 Possible Villains (And Who Should Play Them)

2. Two-Face – John David Washington

Though Gotham has established its new mayor within the concluding events of The Batman in Jayme Lawson’s Bella Reál, it’s safe to say her newfound position of power faces a rocky future. With Gotham flooded, crime plentiful, and the city institutionally corrupt, the emergence of Harvey Dent shouldn’t be ruled out. Dent is unequivocally more than just a pretty face; well, maybe not so pretty anymore. Harvey represents the good in Gotham and provides a beacon of hope to his people in that there is light at the end of a very long tunnel.

Naturally suited and booted, he provides a face to accompany the fight against crime and corruption that the Caped Crusader can’t. However, Dent’s dedication to cleansing the streets of lawbreaking lands him in trouble often and his commitment to the cause comes at a cost with the character’s transition from hero to villain resulting from varying physical and psychological factors.

Dent and Two-Face are polar opposites of one another from an ethical and moral standpoint, an angel and devil dynamic, and an actor as clever and capable as John David Washington would be an ideal candidate to embody the dual role of both men. John David is well-versed in what it means to be the protagonist - shameless pun noted - but the charm and charisma he possesses is effortless and evident to witness within his showreel. Washington has Dent down to a tee, let's see what he can do with Two-Face.
