The Batman Solo Movie: Everything You Need To Know

7. A Release Date Is Still Years Away

Though we don't have any direct, official information regarding a release date for The Batman, there's been plenty of information from second-hand sources that does point toward a general window.

Everyone from Ben Affleck to Joe Manganiello has mentioned that filming may begin sometime in 2017, but that was before the movie ran into director trouble, so what's the situation now?

According to Box-Office Mojo, Warner Bros. has secured several dates on which to release untitled DC films, which range from July 2018 to July 2020, with many dates for untitled "event" films scattered in-between.

One of these is almost certainly reserved for The Batman, and given all the recent shake-ups the project has received, the 2019 and 2020 dates are looking most likely, with any listed before that seeming impossible to hit.

A 2019 date, in particular, looks to be the likely candidate. Last December, Justice League 2 was pushed off its June 14, 2019 slot in order to "make room" for The Batman, as per the Hollywood Reporter.

And, on top of that, we got some more news recently that does indeed point to a 2019 release date...
