The Best Part Of The 10 Worst MCU Movies

6. Yelena Belova - Black Widow

There aren’t many Marvel Cinematic Universe characters that can claim to have been in the franchise for as long as Natasha Romanoff was. Debuting way back in just the third ever MCU movie, she remained a mainstay for another 11 years.

Both Natasha and Scarlett Johannson herself became Marvel legends thanks to more than a decade of pure badassery, and fans can pretty much all agree that her solo movie came way too late. Why give her a swansong once she was already dead? Black Widow should have been released well before Natasha’s one-way trip to Vormir.

As great as she was as a character, she was actually outshined in her own movie. This could have been because her stakes were lower since this was a prequel, that fans were excited to see new blood coming through in Phase Four, or simply that her sister was an utter joy to watch, but Yelena Belova completely stole the show from Natasha.

Florence Pugh’s character was funny, sarcastic, deadly, and one of the most likeable new characters to be introduced to the MCU in recent memory. Though the movie underwhelmed, it did at least introduce the perfect way to continue the Black Widow name in the MCU for years to come.
