The Best Part Of The 10 Worst MCU Movies

5. Tony Stark - Iron Man 3

Without the first Iron Man movie back in 2008, without its success and the audience’s love and adoration for both Tony Stark and Robert Downey Jr., there would be no Marvel Cinematic Universe today. It is genuinely that important.

However, the Iron Man franchise hit the skids very quickly, and struggled from the moment Tony told the world that he was Iron Man. The third movie was the only one to release after the first team-up of the Avengers, in fact it was the very next movie, and it was disappointing as hell.

We could talk about Trevor Slattery and the Mandarin all day long, but in terms of the highlights of the movie there really is only one. It is, of course, Tony Stark himself. With Robert Downey Jr. as the biggest character in the MCU, Iron Man could make anything worth watching, as he did with this.

It doesn’t matter what villain you put Stark up against, how poor the story and the script are, or the fact that Phase Two was opened with a whimper, Tony Stark was still Tony Stark. Nothing would or could change that, and it always made for fantastic viewing, every single time.
