THE BIG LEBOWSKI Gets Limited Edition U.S. Blu-ray in August

Universal Home Video have announced that The Coen Brothers classsic (can't you say that about almost all of their films??) The Big Lebowski will get the Limited Edition Blu-ray treatment in the U.S. from August 16th and dude... doesn't it look like a cool package? The Digital Bits say the transfer has been newly re-mastered in HD and will come with a 28 page booklet featuring an exclusive interview with Jeff Dowd, the inspiration for The Dude and all previous extra's from the DVD will carry over...
"...including 6 featurettes (Jeff Bridges' Photo Book, The Dude's Life, The Dude Abides: The Big Lebowski Ten Years Later, The Lebowski Fest: An Achiever's Story, The Making of The Big Lebowski and Flying Carpets & Bowling Pin Dreams: The Dream Sequences of The Dude), a photo gallery, an interactive map and the infamous Mortimer Young introduction.' In addition, the Blu-ray version will exclusively add the U-Control Scene Companion PiP viewing mode, the Mark It Dude onscreen counter option (that tracks all the "Dude-isms" in the film), The Music of The Big Lebowski mode (that lets you identify each song and buy it on iTunes), the Worthy Adversaries: What's My Line trivia game (where you have to finish a character's lines) and all the other usual BD-Live, BD-Java and uPOCKET what have you. Audio will be 5.1 DTS-HD MA."
