The Cloverfield Paradox Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs

5. The Excellent Visuals

One thing that absolutely cannot be disputed is the film's exceptional production quality. Even with a fairly modest $45 million budget, the visual effects are generally outstanding, and that's to say nothing of the glossy sets and sharp cinematography.

If a lot of Netflix Original movies catch flak for "looking like TV shows", The Cloverfield Paradox truly looks like something that belongs on a cinema screen in every fiber of its being.

It even resembles a far more expensive film at times, in fact, which considering its prolonged post-production period, makes it all the more impressive.

Needless to say, if you're looking for something to make your 4K TV sing, this'll definitely do the job.
