THE DARK KNIGHT RISES 2nd Trailer Attached To Sherlock Holmes 2?

This isn't the IMAX prologue that will be attached to Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol but the full length second trailer for The Dark Knight Rises that will reportedly be attached to prints of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, released December 16th.

We already know about the terribly exciting 6 minutes long prologue for The Dark Knight Rises that will be attached to IMAX prints of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol but now word is coming in regarding the full length second trailer for next year's most anticipated blockbuster. Batman on Film are reporting (which 9.9 times out of 10 means you can it to the bank) that the second trailer for Christopher Nolan's final Batman film will be attached to prints of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, released December 16th in both the UK and US. This of course makes sense as both movies are Warner Bros pictures and I'm sure they would have wanted to show the IMAX prologue with that movie rather than a Paramount blockbuster in an ideal world but as Sherlock Holmes 2 is not in IMAX, they've decided to attach the full length trailer to it instead. Interestingly, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows opens Dec. 16th and the IMAX exclusive run of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol also opens that day. So does that mean there will be two separate and massive ads for The Dark Knight Rises attached and in some ways competing with each other in theatres at the same time? Looks like Batman could be taking over multiplexes before it even gets to 2012.
