The Dark Knight Rises: 3 Ways Batman Could Have Returned To Gotham

1. Auto-Pilot Engaged

In a conversation between Lucius Fox and an engineer, we learn that Bruce had fixed the auto-pilot on The Bat. That means that he could have sent it out into the ocean (carrying the bomb) without him on board, which would not only save his life, but fix a certain loop-hole that has bugged us fans since the dawn of time. How did Bruce Wayne get from India to Gotham? Easy, I'll tell you. After escaping the pit, Bruce knows he must get back to Gotham. The quickest way to get there? Take The Bat. If this auto pilot was truly working, as had been said, then there is a way Bruce could have signaled The Bat to him. I don't know exactly how he would have called the auto pilot from halfway across the world, but I have some ideas. He could have called it via a radio frequency or simply through a phone call. There are so many ways that it could have happened. Bruce could have easily walked from the pit to the nearest town, and ask to use a cell phone. I know that we are in a remote village in India, but someone is bound to have a phone. Let's just say that he picks up the phone, sends a text message to a secret number, and presto! Halfway across the world, The Bat roars to life and flies toward Bruce. It seems far-fetched, but it happens in the comic all the time, and I don't see why it couldn't happen here. It would solve the problem of Bruce traveling to Gotham so fast, because of The Bat's high speeds, and for all we know, it has a Bat-suit in the back seat! These are just some ideas of how Bruce could have gotten back, although the first two are unlikely, they could have happened. Any explanation is better than none.
