The Dark Knight Rises: 5 Reasons Why It's Better Second Time Around

2. Realized The Significance Of The Entire First Half of the Film

Let's all face it, the first half of the film was borderline exhausting. It was good, but it was still exhausting. So many characters, so many storylines, and so much build up to....what? I wasn't even sure if it was build up because it all seemed so disjointed, but the result of the haunting football stadium was worth it. After that scene, the entire first half of the film became forgotten as if it wasn't important. Then I watched it again. I still don't think they should have spent a whole hour on bringing down Bruce Wayne's fortune - no one really cared - but I at least get it. It gave almost all the main characters a proper introduction on what they can do and what they will do. I understood the strings that Bane - or Talia - wove throughout the film that would lead up to the climax and I understood that it was all part of the plan.
