The Dark Knight Rises Has 2 Hours & 45 Minutes Running Time

This would easily make it the longest Batman movie ever and one of the longest comic book movies in history.

"The Dark Knight Returns" will have a running time of 2 hours and 45 minutes, according to AMC Theatres' official website. This would easily make it the longest Batman movie ever and one of the longest comic book movies in history. Although not confirmed by Warner Bros yet, it does seem likely that director Chris Nolan is wanting to go long to tie up all the loose ends and finish the Batman saga the way he wants to with his final chapter in the series. From everything we've seen in the trailers and set images, this movie looks epic and Nolan has probably stretched his WB "golden ticket" as far as he can to secure it. Meanwhile AMC Theatres is planning to hold a special showcase of Christopher Nolan's completed Batman trilogy in select theatres on July 19th. Dubbed "The Dark Knight Marathon" the screenings will likely start in the evening with "Batman Begins" and then "The Dark Knight" before ending with the midnight premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises". That's how Marvel built up to "The Avengers" anyway. Tickets for the marathon and also "The Dark Knight Rises" IMAX tickets go on sale from June 11th.
