THE DARK KNIGHT RISES IMAX Prologue Rated PG-13

The prologue has been rated PG-13 by the MPAA for "some violence".

Warner Bros have finally confirmed the existence of The Dark Knight Rises six minutes prologue that will be attached to IMAX only prints of Paramount's Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. The latest Ethan Hunt adventure starring Tom Cruise opens exclusively on the format on December 16th before opening wide on December 21st. The prologue has been rated PG-13 by the MPAA for "some violence". As we have reported already, The Dark Knight Rises prologue is only expected to be attached to select 70mm IMAX prints, of which there are very few in the UK. There's also been some speculation that the second and first full length trailer for the film will be attached to all prints of the Warner Bros festive blockbuster Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows which is also released December 16th but this has not yet been confirmed. The Dark Knight Rises, the final entry in Christopher Nolan's epic trilogy, will open July 20th, 2012.
