Nolan might have a "taste for the theatrical" but he always favours function over fantasy, especially when it comes to his villains. So does Harvey Dent get his villain moniker from the fact he winds up with 'two faces' following his horrific scarring? No, the nickname for Dent was coined long ago by Jim Gordon and his colleagues in the GCPD. "What was that nickname they had for me while I was at Internal Affairs?" asks Dent. Gordon is reluctant to answer until Dent barks "Say it!" The reply? "Two Face, Harvey Two Face." The transformation from Gotham's White Knight to the bitter and twisted Two Face is complete, and not a half-leopard-print suit in sight, thank God.
