The Dark Knight Trilogy: 15 Best Moments

7. Unleashing the Tumbler

Yes, it comes in black. While some of the best moments in the trilogy are the more subtle ones, there's always a place for a straight up car chase, and there are few as dramatic and just plain cool as Batman's race in the Tumbler to get Rachel back to the Batcave after she has taken a big does of the Scarecrows toxin. Needless to say, trying to get her to stay calm whilst slamming cop cars and jumping over roads seemed a rather futile gesture, but I'm sure she would see the fun in it if she was in her right mind.

6. Bank Heist

An absolutely jaw-dropping opener to the sequel to the Batman Begins, this combined a superbly written idea with astonishing cinematography. As the music rumbles and builds in the background, we see masked goons work their way into a bank, picking eachother off one by one to reduce the amount of shares. The shot of the Joker standing on the corner waiting for the care is foreboding, and we finally see the mastermind himself when they reach the main floor of the bank, shooting down a shotgun-toting William Fichtner before loading the money into a bus. With Fichtner close to death and lying on the floor, he criticises the criminals asking what they believe in, and with that, the Joker pulls of his mask to show the scarier face underneath, completing a shocking, rollicking introduction with the quip: "Whatever doesn't kill you, simply makes you stranger." Superb cinema.
