The Dirt Review: 5 Ups & 7 Downs

1. It Is Genuinely Entertaining

Like Jackass, The Dirt is entertaining despite itself. There are huge problems with it and it's hard not to see why it's on Netflix (because, let's be honest, some films are still on Netflix because they weren't going to work in the cinema), but it's infectious.

Should you be thrilled to see that infamous moment when Ozzy Osbourne sniffed a line of ants and then his own piss off the side of a pool? Probably not and there will be a significant number of people who watch it with the same disgust as the respectable poolside families do in-film. You should also question the agenda to make this all seem like a fantasy and lots of the story-telling decisions but like Girls Girls Girls and Home Sweet Home, it's still very entertaining, even when you recognise what's going on.

It's bound to be divisive and it's bound to rub a lot of people up the wrong way. But if you don't think Motley Crue would absolutely love that thought, you don't know Motley Crue.

And now to the negatives...
