The Expendables 3 - 13 Easter Eggs & References You Need To Know

1. Judge Dredd

And of course, Sly can't resist poking fun at himself above all others. Drummer tells Barney early on that his orders are to bring Stonebanks in alive so that he can be tried as a war criminal at The Hague in The Netherlands. At the end of the movie, as Barney has mortally wounded Stonebanks with a hail of gunfire, Stonebanks asks, "What about The Hague, huh?" Barney shoots him dead and hilariously quips, "I am The Hague." This is a clear reference to Stallone's much-maligned role in 1995's Judge Dredd, whose famous catchphrase is of course "I am the law", substituting The Hague as a worldwide symbol of law and justice. Stallone knows he sucked in the role, but couldn't resist teasing fans about it one last time. What do you make of these EX3 easter eggs? Let us know in the comments!
