10. The Nightmare Before Christmas

Early on in EX3, Doc refers to himself as "the knife before Christmas", which may at first just seem like a reference to the popular phrase "the night before Christmas" and the idea that he was literally a knife-man before Jason Statham's Lee Christmas (who he competes with throughout the movie), though several follow-up lines suggest that Doc in fact referencing Henry Sellick's classic animated flick The Nightmare Before Christmas. When Doc goes on a rampage killing some nameless goons, he quips, "Oh Sally, he attacked me with a knife", and when they're scouting Stonebanks' (Mel Gibson) fortress near the end of the movie, he declares, "Sally don't like it." Sally is clearly the name he's given his knife, though Sally also happens to be the love interest from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Is Wesley Snipes a not-so-closeted fan of the classic animation? It certainly seems so.
