Fantastic Four: 10 Things That Could Save The Reboot

2. Crossover With The X-Men

Mark Millar has confirmed that the FF reboot takes place in the same universe as the X-Men films. Without laying it on too thick, some acknowledgement of this in the movie would provide not only some real excitement, but also creative credibility in regards to the filmmakers' ability to balance a larger, more complex universe. Allegedly, in the film, Dr. Doom even mentions the X-Men after doing some multidimensional travel. Considering the direction "Days of Future Past" took the X-Men series, a crossover of some kind is not only possible, but looking pretty likely. Imaging the the theater popcorn flying while The Thing and Colossus pound a swath through an army of Skrulls... Done cleverly and subtly, giving the audience hope of a team up with Xavier and company would be a huge help in reviving this once-dead film franchise.
