The Fantastic Four: 10 Things You Need To Know

2. Reshoots Are Nothing To Be Scared Of

The veil of secrecy that has thus far shrouded production of The Fantastic Four is unprecedented these days, when even the most supposedly secretive of films €“ like Marvel's Avengers movies, for example €“ still drip feed a steady, teasing stream of plot details, cast members, photos, that sort of thing. This morning is the first anybody's seen of any of that. Previously, it's all just been rumour and scuttlebutt. One of the more concerning bits of tittle tattle doing the rounds was that, after production wrapped surprisingly early in Baton Rogue, Louisiana, they apparently returned once more for reshoots. Reshoots have become a sign of doom off the back of things like World War Z, which had an infamously troubled production that resulted in a totally different ending. Reshoots don't necessarily spell trouble, though €“ in a lot of cases it can just mean picking up some new angles, or trying new ideas. The Fantastic Four is not definitely a failure because they did reshoots.
