8. Hailee Steinfeld
Hailee Steinfelds career began in a similar fashion to Jennifer Lawrences, given that both came out of nowhere to secure Oscar nominations in 2010 for their first major roles. At the age of fourteen, Steinfelds came in the form of True Grit, the Coen Brothers remake of the John Wayne western of the same name. Both would then audition for the role of Katniss, though Lawrences would be the successful one, meaning that Steinfeld would not appear on screens throughout 2011 and 2012, despite being signed by Prada to be the face of their Miu Miu brand. 2013 will see the now sixteen year old Steinfeld return to our cinemas, however, with a major role in Enders Game, a sci-fi piece that will also star fellow entry Abigail Breslin, as well as the co-lead in a new adaptation of Romeo and Juliet.
