The Incredibles: Is The Sequel Better Than The Original?
3. More Jack-Jack
A simple equation has formed over the course of the two Incredibles movies. More Jack-Jack = more fun. The little bundle of joy had a limited role in the first movie, but stole the show at the end, showcasing just a few of his many powers and defeating Syndrome in the process. Following this, Pixar released the short Jack-Jack Attack focusing on the youngest Parr in 2005, so they knew they had a fan favourite on their hands.
Hence, Jack-Jack enjoys a lot more screen time in the sequel and, as can be expected, stole the show again. Even without his powers, the baby's cuteness factor puts him across as one of the standouts of the movie, but when his powers are on show he is even better to watch. Jack-Jack can shoot lasers from his eyes, set himself on fire, turn into a demon, and much more, while still remaining cute as a button.
Jack-Jack's highlight of the film, and one of the best scenes from the entire movie, is when he bonds with Edna. Not only is it hilarious watching the baby imitate his new found Auntie, his dynamic with the designer makes us fall in love with her all over again.
