The Lord Of The Rings: 10 Best Characters NOT In The Fellowship
5. Galadriel
Ethereal and mysterious, Galadriel was an immensely powerful Elf who was in possession of one of the three Eleven rings of power and ruled the woods of Lothlórien. Played by an ever enchanting Cate Blanchett, Galadriel supported the Fellowship from afar on their quest to Mordor.
Galadriel is incredibly knowledgeable and is presented as the direct opposite to Sauron in several ways. Despite that, Galadriel shows Frodo a glimpse of how dark and evil she would become if she took the One Ring for herself, becoming almost spectral and haunting. It is a good enough explanation why Galadriel must keep her distance from the One Ring for the rest of the story but it is a shame the narrative could not allow for her to logically make more appearances.
Galadriel is an illusive presence in the trilogy and the role could've been too big to cast but Blanchett nails the enigmatic nature of the character with ease.
